I don’t suppose there is an adequate explanation for why I haven’t been consistent with this Chronicle this year, I’d offer my travel and being in a new place as reasons, but then I traveled a lot last year too.

In one way I really didn’t have anything to write about until now. Ever since Last October I have been waiting to be accepted into the Novitiate. Any other details of life seemed to be less important, as though this were the only plot point that mattered. Its interesting, lots of things have happened: I sold my condo, I moved into the Seminary, I made some great new friends, I have gotten to know the Bay Area etc. But this was the one event that most mattered: on April 29 the Grand Mastered decreed the Novitiate would be open in October.
I have begun to consider my role at the Seminary and the warning against dual relationships in the therapeutic relationship. I think perhaps the whole Malta thing might just have to be in the background, let the men assume I am a mysterious figure. I suppose the full self will be here on substack.
